I shape usable tools by turning assumptions into insights.

With a background in industrial design, I’ve grown into methodical UX practice for digital products. I focus on crafting usable B2B tools, embracing technical complexity without compromising functionality.

Alongside my design work, I stay connected to emerging topics by moderating events on AI and tech futures.

Strong teams are shaped consciously

I grew up near Linz, Austria — a city renowned for its steel industry, situated on the banks of the Danube River, which drew me into competitive rowing during my high school years. Rowing taught me a lot, but the most valuable lesson was this: successful teams don’t form by accident — they are shaped consciously. A diverse range of characters adds up to stronger collective skills. That mindset still guides how I run design sprints and contribute to team processes..

The unexpected opportunity

After military service, I worked on construction sites at Biogest, where I was unexpectedly asked to improve a SCADA interface. That was my first step into UX design.

Physical design

I earned a master’s degree in industrial design in Vienna, and my first full-time role was at Schindler Creations, where I designed industrial equipment, including CNC machine covers and 3D-printed prototypes for control units and tactile interfaces.

Expanding from Physical to Digital Products

I’m driven by the goal of building well-crafted digital products — essential tools for meaningful work that users come to value. That’s why I moved to Zurich — to complete a CAS in Design Methods and work in software agencies like Mimacom AG and dreipol AG. There, I contributed to products for Migros Bank and Bachmann Electronics.

Where I contribute

  • Prototyping – from interface mockups to physical proof-of-concepts. Building over theorizing

  • User Testing – from live sessions to AI-supported analysis. Evidence over assumptions.

  • Complex B2B Tools – affinity for technical systems and translating them into usable interfaces.

  • Strategic Framing – prioritizing via effort–impact logic, not gut feeling.

  • Collaboration – facilitating design sprints and structuring co-creation in agile teams.

Current Chapter

I kicked off this year by finally realizing a long-held plan — ski touring in Japan.

Now back in Zurich, I'm exploring AI tools and taking IDEO's “AI x Design Thinking” course — applying the new methods and learning as a freelance strategist and design consultant.
